Corey Parkes, the legendary fire-breathing bass player in the Grammy-nominated (Best Metal Performance) Southern rock-n-roll band Nashville Pussy, has also spent time behind the sewing machine designing clothes for rock-n-roll royalty like Steven Tyler, Bono, Lenny Kravitz and Sheryl Crow, as well as pop star Britney Spears. She has dressed fashion icons Karl Lagerfeld and designed Rhianna’s jaw-dropping and awe-inspiring costume for 2008′s Video Music Awards.

Since leaving her mark on the fashion world, Corey has put down the needle and has picked back up the axe. While returning to the stage for some guest spots with LA’s own Camp Freddy (Dave Navarro, Matt Sorum, and Billy Morrison of The Cult ), Corey dreamed up the idea of creating an all-female super group that she knew would be called “Chelsea Girls”.
