Owen Biddle

Owen Biddle is an American bass guitarist, record producer, and songwriter from Philadelphia, who has been touring with Grammy-award-winning hip hop group The Roots since the August 31, 2007 departure of 17-year-veteran bassist, “Hub”. Prior to joining the lineup, Biddle was credited with production and writing on the Roots’ Grammy-nominated album, Game Theory. Other work includes recordings with Al Green, Beanie Sigel, Baaba Maal, Vivian Green, Jazmine Sullivan, Taylor Dayne, Jazzyfatnastees, and Corinne Bailey-Rae. He is also a member of The Trolleyvox and was a bassist, composer and member of the Philadelphia based rock band Pepper’s Ghost. Biddle is also currently a member of New York City based Mr Barrington, along with Oli Rockberger and Zach Danziger. As part of a recurring sketch on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon called “The Real Housewives of Late Night”, Biddle portrays his fictional wife, named Renee, who is an alcoholic.
