Instead of hanging the usual backdrop that you see at every event or trade show, Ampeg's very own Ted Kornblum came up with the idea of stacking six....yes SIX 810 cabs on their sides and inserting the graphics into the face grills.  The bottom two cabinets were left alone so that one of the SVT-VRs on top of all this would power them.

Anytime the volume in S.I.R's Studio 1 got out of hand, Dino Monoxelos (Ampeg's Product Specialist) would just fire up the "wall of sound" and drop a low B.  That would usually bring all the bass mongers back down to earth!!!!  Not to mention send a couple of them running for cover!

This is an event that is put on every year by Bass Player Magazine and should not be missed by any bass player that is serious about improving their craft.  Manufacturers get to interact with players of all ages and abilities which is invaluable for both sides.  We get to hear what people are looking for and players get to ask questions to some of the industries leading names in bass.

Instructional clinics are conducted all day long too in some of the smaller clinic rooms.  Everyone from Stanley Clarke, Steve Bailey, Janek Gwizdala, Dave Ellefson among others are there to show you how they do what they do and give some insight on the music business.
