Long time Ampeg endorser, Hutch Hutchinson, more than played his part at the recent Kokua for Japan benefit show in Hawaii. The benefit has raised over $1.6 million dollars for the American Red Cross, directly helping the victims of the Japan earthquake and tsunami crisis.
Hutch and Mick Fleetwood held down the rhythm section for headliner, Willie Nelson, alongside Pat Simmons and Mike McDonald…not a bad lineup.

A fan was able to catch some of the performance on video, you can check that out here. As you can see from the video, it was a fairly intimate show and fans were loving the interactions with their favorite artists. Other performers included Jack Johnson, ukulele superstar, Jake Shimabukuro and ton of local Hawaii favorites.
While a lot of money was raised, more is needed. Click here if you can donate anything at all.
