Band: Cradle Of Filth
Gear: SVT-CL, SVT-810E
Loved and hated with equal fervor, Suffolk, England’s premier black metal band Cradle of Filth is one of the most successful British metal bands of the last two decades. Despite twenty-three line-up changes over the course of its sixteen-year career, COF has evolved from traditional black metal to Goth and symphonic metal (black metal with keyboards), to maintain their figurehead status as one of the most extreme metal acts in the world. The band’s 1994 debut album, Principle Evil Made Flesh is listed in the Top 10 Black Metal Albums of all time by Metal Hammer magazine.
Dave Pybus is Cradle Of Filth’s third bassist, joining the band in 2002 and making his debut on Damnation and a Day (2003). His days in Dreambreed and Anathema provided Pybus boot camp training for black metal’s thunderous presentation and thrash-influenced tempos built around religious, mythological and horror themes.
