As bassist for the hard rock band Hurt, Rek Mohr has spent the last couple years touring, writing and recording endlessly. After spending 4 years with indie rockers Leo, Mohr stepped into his current position in early 2008.

Since then, the band has toured heavily on Volume 2, written and recorded their latest effort, Goodbye to the Machine and spent most of 2009 on the road in support of the record. The band has been able to share the stage with some of their idols, from Stone Temple Pilots to Alice in Chains and many others.

Mohr credits his tone to the players that influenced him and his choice of amp. ‘For me, Ampeg is the only way to go. No other amp would do. Alot of the players that I am influenced by use Ampeg amps. It’s always been that way. So, I was sold from early on.’
